Position Overview:

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) is seeking a Development Program Specialist to enhance central development strategies and manage office administrative functions that support the objectives of the Development Division. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office presence at least two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Central Development Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with the Development Program Director and Senior Vice Presidents to support various central development initiatives, including meetings, events, and special projects.
  • Actively engage in organizing and participating in activities that promote development efforts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for comprehensive campaigns, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities.
  • Oversee the administration of gift funds, including documentation, tracking, and stewardship processes.
  • Work with the events team to plan and execute events aimed at cultivating new prospects and strengthening donor relationships.
  • Assist Senior VPs with donor engagements, including logistical arrangements and follow-up communications.
  • Act as a liaison for donors, facilitating gift processes and addressing inquiries.

Development Division Administration:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal inquiries regarding Development Division policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on Division resources and recommend process improvements.
  • Identify and escalate issues requiring attention, collaborating with development leadership and relevant departments.
  • Coordinate the distribution of stewardship communications, solicitations, and event invitations.
  • Provide administrative support for complex development needs.

CRM and Reporting:

  • Generate financial reports related to gift data and collaborate with the business intelligence team for tailored communications.
  • Maintain accurate contact information and donor records, ensuring effective constituent management.
  • Serve as a resource for the central development team regarding database navigation and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work or internship experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating visual content using design tools such as Canva is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with database reporting preferred.
