Position Overview:

The Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking a passionate individual to take on the role of Head Coach for the Girls Golf Program. This role entails the management and enhancement of the golf program, ensuring the athletes receive the necessary training and support to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training strategies for athletes in partnership with fellow coaches.
  • Oversee the execution of events during home competitions as required.
  • Assist in the formulation of game line-ups.
  • Attend and actively coach during all practice sessions and competitions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to athletes regarding their performance and skill development.
  • Organize and maintain practice and competition schedules.
  • Administer the program's budget and spearhead fundraising initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in competitive high school golf.
  • Prior coaching experience, ideally in a head coach capacity at the varsity level.
  • Familiarity with modern golf methodologies.
  • Dedication to enhancing skills and improving the program.
  • Ability to inspire and develop student-athletes.
  • Strong communication skills with staff, athletes, and parents.
  • Current certification in first aid and CPR/AED.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and fundraising.
  • Capability to engage with a diverse group of individuals.

Work Environment:

This position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, along with outdoor conditions.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for extended periods during practices and competitions.
