Position Overview

The role of Medical Scheduler involves managing the scheduling of medical examinations for workers at Hanford. This includes gathering precise information, arranging appointments, and addressing inquiries related to medical exams and program assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify workers due for examinations and determine the appropriate exams for each appointment.
  • Prioritize and schedule examinations based on examiner availability, examination type, and work location.
  • Coordinate appointment times for multiple services to minimize the time workers spend away from their jobs.
  • Adjust the schedule to accommodate daily and urgent client and patient needs.
  • Utilize the scheduling system and maintain data integrity according to established protocols.
  • Communicate with site personnel regarding scheduling tasks via phone and email.
  • Input data into the scheduling system to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Generate various reports from the scheduling system as per established guidelines.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain scheduling procedures and desk instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with document control systems for uniform documentation.
  • Provide training to users of the scheduling system as needed.
  • Assist the medical support services manager or other clinic management with scheduling data analysis and reporting upon request.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety practices.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a medical environment as a receptionist or similar role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Compensation details: Hourly wage ranges from $23 to $25
