Role Summary

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in our Automotive Service Centers. Your main objective will be to enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that all services provided align with our high standards of excellence. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and managing your service team, focusing on key areas such as collaboration, safety, expertise, and efficiency.

Enhancing Customer Experience

  • Effectively address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Recognize situations that require escalation to the General Manager.
  • Oversee warranty-related matters.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols to guarantee services are performed correctly on the first attempt.
  • Understand the customer journey and your pivotal role within it.

Boosting Team Productivity

  • Guide your team to achieve optimal performance levels.
  • Implement the 300% rule consistently.
  • Assess each team member's skills and capabilities, holding them accountable for their performance.
  • Manage labor, inventory, and expenses effectively, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute daily plans that prioritize goal achievement through effective time and task management.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), policy violations, and customer feedback to the General Manager.

Executing Product Installations Professionally

  • Understand the Center's objectives, including KPIs.
  • Oversee all vehicle repairs through the designated management system.
  • Take responsibility for metrics such as car count, sales, customer retention, gross profit, technician productivity, and taxable income.
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the security of the Car Care Center, including vehicles, financial transactions, customer data, and employee records.

Ensuring Safety Compliance

  • Maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient processing of customers and vehicles.
  • Create a safe working environment for all team members at all times.

Fostering Team Collaboration

  • Lead effective service team meetings.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address issues with your service team.
  • Provide leadership and support to the shop team.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and lead by example.
  • Exhibit integrity, reliability, self-awareness, and empathy in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • A strong passion for and understanding of the mission and values of Team Outsider.
  • ASE Certification is preferred and must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive service management and 2 years as an automotive technician, with the ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical issues.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Fluency in English with clear communication skills is essential.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and promotion of a safe working environment is mandatory.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
  • Must be a team player, demonstrating integrity, reliability, self-awareness, and empathy.
