We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Big O Tires. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance activities on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and trailers in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles with efficiency as outlined on the repair order.
- Diagnose Problems: Diagnose problems described and make the correct necessary repair(s).
- Road Test Vehicles: Road test vehicles to diagnose and assure repairs have been made correctly.
- Document Work: Document work performed legibly on the repair order.
- Communicate with Customers: Communicate results of diagnosis and multi-point inspection with your Service Advisor so that customers can be informed and make decisions regarding service needed.
- Execute Warranty Repairs: Execute warranty repairs as prescribed by the manufacturer.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Keeping work area clean and safe.
- ASE Certification: ASE Certification(s) preferred.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid drivers license without restrictions.
- Availability: Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
- Reliable Transportation: Reliable transportation to work.
- Technical Skills: Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
- Computer Skills: Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Physical Demands: Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Background Check: Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check.
