Position Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Welcome clients warmly and create a friendly atmosphere. Attend to their concerns, inquiries, and requests regarding vehicle upkeep or repairs.
- Service Assessment: Analyze client concerns and examine vehicles to determine necessary repairs or maintenance tasks. Provide clear and detailed explanations of required work, including cost estimates and timelines based on findings.
- Appointment Coordination: Organize appointments and schedule service tasks to optimize resource use and meet client expectations. Manage service timelines and keep clients updated on their vehicle status.
- Parts and Inventory Oversight: Work with the management team to ensure necessary components are available for service tasks. Order parts as required, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of parts usage.
- Sales Opportunities: Identify additional maintenance or repair needs based on client history, manufacturer recommendations, and vehicle condition. Propose relevant services and products to clients to enhance vehicle performance, safety, and longevity.
- Exceptional Customer Care: Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the service process. Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience by maintaining open communication.
- Warranty Management and Billing: Understand warranty terms and conditions to assist clients with warranty claims. Generate accurate repair orders and invoices, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to billing procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Complete necessary paperwork, maintain service records, and update client profiles in the database system. Utilize software tools to facilitate the service process and generate required reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside technicians, service managers, and other service advisors to ensure smooth workflow, effective communication, and a cohesive team environment.
- Overall, our Automotive Service Consultants play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, managing service operations, and maximizing client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Minimum of two years of experience as an automotive service writer or service advisor
- Proficient with computers and comfortable handling phone inquiries
- Experience in customer support roles
