DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk/Cashier to join our dynamic team.

As the Front Desk representative, you will be the first point of contact for our service department, embodying professionalism and a welcoming demeanor at all times. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers upon their arrival, directing them to the appropriate personnel, and addressing basic inquiries in line with dealership protocols. You will also manage incoming calls, ensuring they are screened and routed effectively while taking detailed messages when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments as required.
  • Accurately compute and document transaction totals.
  • Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of shifts to ensure accuracy and sufficient change.
  • Process payments and issue receipts, refunds, or credits as needed.
  • Communicate any concerns to Assistant Service Managers and Service Directors promptly.
  • Receive payments via cash, checks, credit cards, or electronic debits.
  • Organize and file service/customer documentation efficiently.
  • Welcome service department customers and assist them with check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Guide customers to the correct department and inform service writers of waiting customers.
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries and escalate more complex questions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Input data into the prospect tracking system, including Xtime and Reynolds.
  • Operate the switchboard effectively.
  • Engage with callers in a professional and friendly manner, minimizing hold times.
  • Take comprehensive messages, noting the caller's name, company, time, and message.
  • Ensure timely communication of messages to relevant parties.
  • Provide general information to callers with inquiries.
  • Update and distribute the company telephone directory as necessary.
  • Perform clerical and accounting tasks as assigned by management.
  • Complete additional duties as directed by supervisors.
  • Generate transaction receipts for the sales and service departments when applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, both on the phone and in person, projecting professionalism and competence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Multilingual abilities (Spanish and Chinese) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated dedication to customer service excellence.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions and policy documents.
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Capacity to sit for extended periods.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with Reynolds or Xtime is a plus.
  • Prior experience in retail, sales, service BDC, reception, or call center roles is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 7 PM and every other Saturday.
