Job Summary

AutoZone is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with current and existing Commercial customers while obtaining new business with shop owners in the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow loyalty and trust with customers by delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain adequate sales numbers and ensure that Commercial customers are taken care of by Mobile Sales Reps and Commercial Managers.
  • Oversee the customer service, sales, and general workings of the stores within your territory.
  • Motivate and lead the Commercial team to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
  • Partner with Operations management to ensure a solid customer experience from sales call to customer call to fulfillment.
  • Develop market analysis and action plans for commercial accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise key customer plans.
  • Motivate Commercial AutoZoners to provide exceptional customer service, enhance productivity levels, and market products to enhance sales and profits.
  • Visit commercial accounts and ensure accounts are serviced and deliveries are made as promised.
  • Identify new opportunities within the market and develop new accounts through face-to-face and telephone contact with potential customers.
  • Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners are implementing safe practices, including PPE.
  • Comply with safe driving rules and procedures and ensure all Commercial Zoners have approved driver status.
  • Properly maintain vehicle(s) and report vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Follow proper accident procedures.
  • Provide feedback regarding AutoZoner performance.
  • Address commercial customer concerns and resolve them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment.
  • Ensure all stocking programs are stocked each week per policy.
  • Ability to work all hours of operation.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of related experience in outside sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Direct or indirect experience managing and leading people.
  • Relentless pursuit of new profitable business and penetration of current accounts.
  • Ability to create and execute customer development plans.
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and take appropriate action.
  • Understanding of P&L statement and gross profit.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Integrity, honesty, passion, drive, and the desire for success.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Minimum 50% travel with some overnight.
