Position Overview:

YOUR ROLE MATTERS:

At the Senior Staff level, individuals have cultivated a foundational understanding of essential technical competencies and are consistently enhancing their expertise towards more sophisticated skills. Senior Staff members are expected to embrace increased responsibilities, positioning themselves for advancement into Senior roles. They operate with minimal oversight and possess a comprehensive grasp of our Firm's methodologies, regulations, and organizational culture. They are also available to guide entry-level staff, interns, and paraprofessionals.

The Enterprise Group is dedicated to delivering exceptional service with a client-centric approach, addressing comprehensive client needs. Professionals in this group engage in service delivery through three primary avenues:

  1. Assurance services (audits, reviews, and compilations) of financial statements, while also providing value-added insights related to internal controls and operational efficiencies.
  2. Tax advisory services aimed at resolving the intricate tax challenges faced by closely held enterprises. Professionals will contribute to the formulation and execution of tax strategies, considering both domestic and international tax implications, including income, excise, and estate and gift taxes.
  3. Consulting services customized to meet specific client requirements, which may encompass valuation and negotiation for mergers and acquisitions, crafting financial forecasts for additional capital requirements, and conducting job costing and profitability analyses for business revitalization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Quickly grasping concepts and demonstrating proficiency in fundamental technical skills, alongside relevant knowledge of necessary systems and procedures.
  • Exhibiting a proactive approach to learning and undertaking more complex tasks and projects consistently.
  • Making informed decisions by considering all relevant information before reaching conclusions.
  • Asking pertinent questions and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Adhering to the regulations and ethical standards set forth by the relevant professional bodies, including AICPA.
  • Staying updated on all professional pronouncements.
  • Developing expertise in the technology essential for executing job responsibilities.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of client systems in relation to any project.
  • Maintaining designated billable hours as determined by Geography & Discipline leaders.
  • Ensuring quality control measures are followed under the supervision of engagement management.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients.
  • Responding promptly and accurately to requests from internal teams and clients.
  • Working with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Effectively managing workload within established budgetary constraints; assisting new associates in prioritizing tasks.
  • Communicating challenges encountered during engagements to the engagement supervisor appropriately.
  • Conducting thorough self-reviews of all work prior to submission to supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 1-2 years in a relevant role.
  • Experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is preferred.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (for Audit or Tax).
  • Master's degree or completion of 150 credits in designated states.

Licensure / Certification:

  • Actively pursuing CPA certification or relevant certification for the respective discipline if not already obtained.
  • Must fulfill annual CPE credit requirements.

Legal / Compliance:

  • Must acknowledge and adhere to Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards.
  • Government engagements may require the ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government.
