Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable Commercial Staff Accountant to become a vital member of our Commercial Accounting Team. The role involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities for various commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and precise preparation of financial statements and other reports as requested by management.
- Analysis and review of G/L accounts.
- Preparation of annual budgets.
- Conducting variance analysis.
- Invoice coding for accounts payable and oversight of A/P entries.
- Ensuring adherence to management contracts.
- Maintaining and reviewing lease files.
- Completing CAM & RET reconciliations.
- Finalizing year-end tax workpapers.
- Assisting in the acquisition and sale of assets.
- Collaborating effectively within a team and working independently.
- Communicating efficiently with property and company management.
- Undertaking special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with Yardi or similar software is advantageous.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to complete accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
