Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable Commercial Staff Accountant to become a vital member of our Commercial Accounting Team. The role involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities for various commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely and precise preparation of financial statements and other reports as requested by management.
  • Analysis and review of G/L accounts.
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Conducting variance analysis.
  • Invoice coding for accounts payable and oversight of A/P entries.
  • Ensuring adherence to management contracts.
  • Maintaining and reviewing lease files.
  • Completing CAM & RET reconciliations.
  • Finalizing year-end tax workpapers.
  • Assisting in the acquisition and sale of assets.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and working independently.
  • Communicating efficiently with property and company management.
  • Undertaking special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar software is advantageous.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to complete accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
