Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Peckham Industries. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting our enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implementation: Develop strategies and directions for network solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies, translating business requirements into effective network or process designs.
  2. Network Planning and Optimization: Responsible for high- and low-level network planning, design, and optimization, developing, implementing, and enforcing corporate policies, standards, and guidelines.
  3. Hardware and Software Management: Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture, building, configuring, and maintaining network switches, routers, access points, and voice appliances.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor network performance, ensuring capacity planning is conducted, and proactively assess and recommend improvements to maximize the performance, security, and availability of the network infrastructure.
  5. Problem-Solving and Communication: Effectively prioritize network faults, diagnose and resolve issues promptly, and maintain composure under pressure from various impacted business groups, providing design, implementation, and operational support for VoIP telephony systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Azure environments.
Requirements
  1. Azure Cloud Networking: Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud networking, server, and PaaS components.
  2. Scripting and Automation: Strong knowledge of scripting to automate resource deployment tasks and processes using PowerShell, Bicep, and AzureCLI.
  3. Microsoft 365 and Network Standards: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and complementary solutions, as well as network standards and best practices.
  4. Fortinet Firewalls and HPE Switches: Knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and their FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer products, as well as HPE, HPE/Aruba switches.
  5. Operating System Environments: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux Operating System environments.
  6. Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft AZ-104, Fortinet FortiGate Security- NSE 4, and Fortinet FortiManager – NSE 5.
  7. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical or business discipline, and a minimum of five (5) years of quality technical experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to sit at a desk and also involves frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary. In addition, this position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. or more and requires pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, and reaching.
