Your Role at Precision Hire Solution

As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be a key expert responsible for providing enterprise-level IT support and the maintenance of various IT services within the organization.

Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing engineering tools and processes for the effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of company infrastructure and systems.

This position requires independent work and strong troubleshooting skills to research and resolve medium to complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain new hardware or software to deliver new services or address user and system challenges.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and system analysis to resolve incidents and ensure system uptime.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Test and validate new systems to ensure they meet requested functionality and quality standards.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures to guarantee necessary availability.
  • Conduct system monitoring for proactive support by collecting availability, performance metrics, and system logs.
  • Execute hardware or software upgrades and patching to support vulnerability and risk management.
  • Define, initiate, and execute changes as part of the Change Management Process.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including fixes, modifications, or other changes.
  • Execute tasks as part of the request fulfillment process.
  • Collaborate with vendors or other delivery organizations as needed to provide appropriate support.
  • Identify and document potential system issues within the ticketing tool.
  • Suggest possible service improvements.
  • Create and manage tickets for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Request Fulfillment.
  • Document work results, actions taken, steps to resolve, effort, and resolution time in the ticketing system.
  • Perform additional tasks as defined, planned, and approved by the leadership team.
  • Work with senior team members to gain insights into working procedures and technical possibilities to ensure optimal systems availability.
  • Carry out other tasks as defined, planned, and approved by leadership.

Required Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Extensive knowledge of necessary infrastructure technologies such as Software, Office 365, Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • In-depth understanding of the underlying protocols of the utilized technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical comprehension.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to senior management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL support processes (Incident, Change, and Request Management).
  • Ability to fully comprehend the business processes delivered by the managed systems.
  • Capacity to research and evaluate new technologies to enhance service delivery.
  • Ability to analyze information and assess results to select the best solutions and resolve issues.
  • Capability to collaborate with teams across various business areas/functions to facilitate projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Skill in prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing key systems and tools related to information technology.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certifications are preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in IT Systems.
