Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Representative to join our team. As a Sales Account Representative, you will be responsible for determining and presenting the appropriate value proposition to each account, reviewing how Grainger can add value and help with each account's purchasing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field, and ensures delivery of a sales plan that meets performance targets.
  • Maintain account and customer contact and record follow-up details in Grainger's CRM.
  • Take a proactive approach to increasing sales with each account, using a wide array of available communication channels to maximize purchasing with Grainger through all of Grainger's sales/service channels.
  • Be responsive to customers' real-time needs.
  • Grow revenue to reported thresholds.
  • Achieve or exceed shared metrics of daily calls, customer face-time minutes.
  • Report accurate information on overall results of customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities, negotiate sales, manage needs and cost requirements.
Requirements
  • Live near Dunkirk, Arcade, NY, Cheektowaga NY, St. Mary's, PA, Bradford, PA.
  • 1 or more years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED, two or four-year degree.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and have occasional overnights (dependent on territory).
