About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team at Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials used in various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations and testing of construction materials, including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
  • Prepare accurate daily logs detailing your inspections and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and operations managers regarding project progress and other important information.
Requirements
  • Reliable vehicle for field work and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60-80 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various outdoor climates and terrain.
  • Attention to detail and quality, with adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs and ability to use company-provided tablets.
  • Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
