Job Title: NCCTS Liaison

Join Duke University's School of Medicine as a key member of the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS) team. As an NCCTS Liaison, you will play a vital role in fostering a trauma-informed, equitable, and collaborative environment within the NCCTS.

Job Summary:

The NCCTS Liaison will provide consultation, facilitate collaboration, and contribute to initiatives to enhance trauma-informed care and services for children, families, and communities. This role requires a strong foundation in anti-racism and anti-oppression principles, coupled with exceptional relationship-building, collaboration, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing consultation to an assigned portfolio of network grantees about areas of trauma-informed care for children, families, and communities.
  • Lead activities within national collaborations in partnership with NCCTS centers and our federal funding agency.
  • Facilitate effective communication among NCCTS members, the NCCTS, and other key individuals/groups.
  • Promote and champion the centering and inclusion of individuals leading with lived expertise across all projects and activities.
  • Conduct in-person site visits to grantee member centers.
  • Facilitate collaboration, practice/knowledge sharing, and peer support among Network members.
  • Project manage and contribute content knowledge to collaborative projects, best practice resources, activities, and initiatives.
  • Identify and disseminate best practices, trends, and innovations within the NCCTS.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated action to apply and advance anti-oppression, diversity, equity, inclusion practices, especially with a focus on applying these to trauma-informed practices and organizations.
  • Proven experience in providing consultation and technical assistance in various settings and across disciplines, preferably in trauma-informed care.
  • Implementing culturally responsive, trauma-informed interventions, practices, and principles supported by various types of evidence.
  • Partnering with youth, young adults, parents, and caregivers with lived experience and expertise.
  • Collaborating with individuals from varying backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.
  • Program development and implementation.
  • Fostering and facilitating authentic collaborative and mutually supportive spaces and work groups.
  • Group facilitation (virtual and in-person).
  • Project management skills and experience leading collaborative initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree and at least 7 years' experience in a related field (mental health, social work, public health, health care administration, etc.) and knowledge of child traumatic stress or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:

This position is 100% grant funded. The NCCTS Liaison will work remotely or from Duke University in Durham, NC. Remote work will be considered if you live in a Duke University-approved state/district/territory outside of North Carolina.
