Job Description

U.S. Engineering is a leading construction company with a rich history of innovation and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating construction activities for designated projects. This includes ensuring that project objectives are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Cost Management: Assist in estimating change orders, developing and monitoring project budgets, and performing cost coding.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Maintain procurement, proposal, and correspondence logs, and facilitate the procurement process.
  • Project Forecasting: Develop and maintain project forecasts to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level.
  • Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards; team orientation and collaborative spirit; self-motivation; effective communication skills; ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships; basic level of business acumen; and ability to proactively identify potential problems and their solutions.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is $63,120 to $94,680, and the compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
