Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Experience Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, while also promoting membership engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Engagement: Strengthen member commitment through authentic personal relationships and deliver excellent service to members, guests, and program participants.
  • Administrative Duties: Effectively perform administrative duties, including the use of computer programs related to membership administration.
  • Orientation and Onboarding: Partner with the wellness coach to create a welcoming, safe, and seamless orientation experience for new members.
  • Customer Service: Address complaints in a courteous, timely manner, and effectively negotiate and resolve customer service issues.
  • Membership Processing: Process new member ID cards, issue guest passes, and register members for services and programs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to learn and use computer programs related to the position.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the YMCA's mission, values, and benefits.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for the majority of shift, with occasional lifting and bending.
