Role Overview

As a Youth Engagement Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding leadership and ensuring a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all participants in our youth programs. You will lead climbing instruction, games, and various activities while adhering to all established rules and policies related to youth programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage participant check-in, waivers, rental equipment, and facility orientation.
  • Design and implement lessons that enhance the quality of our youth programs.
  • Conduct youth program sessions in collaboration with the Programs Manager.
  • Engage in both individual and group coaching for scheduled participants.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to families visiting our facility.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Programs Manager regarding youth programming.
  • Interact with youth participants and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide constructive feedback to youth, their families, and the Programs Manager about participant development.

Safety and Incident Management

Ensure all participants understand the risks, rules, and regulations of the facility. Promote risk mitigation through ongoing instruction and orientation. Safeguard the well-being of participants, staff, and regular customers through effective group management and oversight. Respond to any safety or health incidents in accordance with established protocols, including administering first aid and documenting incidents appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Passion for working with youth.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay is $20 per hour and may vary based on experience. Full-time staff averaging 30+ hours per week are eligible for benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. Working Environment
