Therapeutic Health Services (THS) has been a leader in delivering evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and compassionate behavioral health interventions since 1972. We are seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist for our Youth and Family division. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding families through the WISe process, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources. Your responsibilities will include participating in WISe meetings and acting as a liaison between families and system representatives, ensuring that families are empowered in their care journey. The position operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with compensation ranging from $22 to $25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Educate families about the agency and the WISe process, including the role of parent partners, to facilitate their engagement.
- Attend WISe CFT meetings to advocate for family access, voice, and choice within the WISe framework, collaborating closely with the WISe Care Coordinator.
- Act as a bridge between families and system representatives, fostering mutual understanding and providing unconditional support to parents and caregivers.
- Serve as a consultant and role model for parents and caregivers throughout the WISe process, demonstrating effective coping strategies.
- Collaborate with participants and family members to develop a crisis management plan that outlines action steps, responsibilities, and communication protocols.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must obtain WA state certification as a Peer Counselor within 6 months of hire.
- New hires without a license or associate license through the Washington State Department of Health must submit an Agency Affiliated Counselor application upon hire.
- Ability to complete online WISe training modules within 30 days of hire and achieve full WISe training within 6 months.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and proof of insurance are required; reliable transportation is essential.
