About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our Youth, Family, and Community Development program at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). As a Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a multi-year project examining the implementation and outcomes of Oklahoma's legislative and administrative juvenile justice policy changes.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the collection, analysis, and review of research data using online resources and electronic documents.
  • Travel within Oklahoma to support the conducting of interviews with youth and their families as identified.
  • Conduct data entry using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Support coordination and facilitation of in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Contribute to writing of project processes and findings to share with a diverse pool of stakeholders.
  • Participate with study team in dissemination of study findings with stakeholders within Oklahoma and beyond.
Qualifications
  • Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in such fields as economics, psychology, sociology, statistics, computer science, public policy, public health, or other social science related fields.
  • Interest in and/or knowledge of the juvenile justice system.
  • Interest in and/or knowledge of research methods and data analysis.
