Role Summary:

The Cashier plays a crucial role in managing register transactions related to the sale and return of products.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:
  • Represent the company positively.
  • Welcome customers as they enter and thank them upon their departure.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Efficiently manage customer checkout lines.
  • Respond to calls and pages in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Communicate any issues requiring management intervention.
  • Enhance product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Support in pricing, stocking, and bagging merchandise.

Register Management:
  • Adhere to all cash register transaction protocols.
  • Ensure accurate balancing of the register drawer.
  • Implement any Store Support Center programs or promotions at the registers.
  • Engage in store and cashier meetings.

Front End Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front end and checkout areas.
  • Assist in stocking and organizing impulse counters, ensuring fresh merchandise is available.
  • Keep promotional materials stocked in shopping carts.
  • Ensure all necessary forms and supplies are readily available.
  • Contribute to the aesthetic presentation of the front end in line with Store Support Center guidelines.
  • Request cart pickups as needed.
  • Notify management regarding merchandise returns that require restocking.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
