Territory Sales Executive

Seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Representative to join Matthews International. This exciting opportunity allows you to develop and maintain relationships with customers, drive sales growth, and increase revenue in an assigned Kansas City area.
Job SummarySales Representatives at Matthews International are responsible for selling company products or services, developing new business opportunities, and building strong customer relationships. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for:
- Compiling lists of prospective customers from various sources.
- Traveling to call on regular and prospective customers, pursuing orders or conducting phone calls.
- Demonstrating products, highlighting salable features and benefits, and quoting prices and credit terms.
- Preparing sales contracts and estimating delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
- Maintaining relationships with purchasing contacts, preparing reports of business transactions, and managing expense accounts.
- Coordinating customer training, entering new customer data and sales data into computer databases, and investigating and resolving customer problems with deliveries.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of progressive business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
This role requires:
- Regularly standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and seeing.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
