Work Location: This role requires 100% on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical assistance for end-user devices including hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web), network infrastructure (routers, switches), VoIP systems, audiovisual equipment, and alarm technologies.
  • Coordinate and schedule customer desk-side support for software installations or hardware/software troubleshooting activities.
  • Set up and configure new end-user equipment such as laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP phones.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all changes in the ticketing system to ensure up-to-date asset and configuration information.
  • Investigate and resolve connectivity issues related to end-user devices and site infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inventories of IT equipment and maintain accurate records of all IT assets.
  • Propose enhancements to customer service and IT processes, researching and recommending new technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance in managing information systems operations.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with no experience, Associate's degree with 2 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 4 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Experience in desk-side IT support and effective communication with senior government officials.
  • Familiarity with a variety of IT technologies (Laptops, Mobile devices, etc.).
  • Ability to spend 4+ hours daily on foot, navigating long distances to support customer equipment.
  • Capability to kneel, bend, and reach under desks for cabling connections and repairs.
  • Physical ability to lift 40-50 pounds when installing IT equipment.
  • Ability to maneuver carts for transporting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience focused on DHS operations.
  • A+ Certification.
  • Network+ Certification.
  • Cisco and Microsoft Certifications.
  • Proficiency in installing Cisco switches and managing complex fiber interconnectivity.
  • Knowledge of Cat6 and fiber infrastructure installation and repair.
