KidCo, Inc. is on the lookout for an innovative and strategic Vice President of Technology Innovation to oversee the technical evolution of our pioneering AI hardware and software solutions.

We are searching for a leader who can redefine the boundaries of technological advancement in running large language models, machine learning frameworks, computer vision, and voice recognition on devices powered by a proprietary chipset.

As a vital member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President will guide the strategic vision of our technology initiatives, champion product advancements, and ensure the effective execution of our essential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to formulate a comprehensive technology strategy encompassing product, software, and hardware development.
  • Direct the technical vision and strategy for KidCo's AI device ecosystem, integrating hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Manage the complete development lifecycle, from initial concept to product launch, ensuring alignment with user expectations and business goals.
  • Promote innovation and research efforts to discover emerging technologies and industry trends, utilizing AI, spatial interaction, and collaborative features to enhance our platform.
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including engineering, product management, design, and marketing, to convert strategic goals into actionable plans and outcomes.
  • Establish and uphold robust technical frameworks, scalable architectures, and secure protocols to facilitate platform growth and scalability.
  • Recruit, mentor, and empower a high-performing engineering team, nurturing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing learning.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations, prioritizing data privacy, security, and child safety in all product development phases.
  • Represent KidCo, Inc. at external forums, conferences, and industry gatherings, advocating for our vision and fostering strategic partnerships to drive growth and innovation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in senior technical positions, demonstrating a successful history of leadership in technology development, ideally in consumer electronics, AI, or IoT.
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices, architectural design, and cloud-based solutions, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • In-depth understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with experience in integrating AI features into consumer products.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, capable of inspiring teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for utilizing technology to foster creativity, education, and community involvement, with a commitment to ethical and responsible innovation.
  • Experience in startup environments or dynamic, agile development teams is advantageous.
