Investment Banking Vice President Job Description

GrowthPoint Technology Partners, a leading boutique technology investment bank in San Francisco, seeks a seasoned Investment Banking Vice President to join our team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled investment banking professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record of success in early stage, venture-backed, technology companies.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in investment banking, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute marketing and execution of mandates
  • Develop industry, market sector, and company research and analysis
  • Prepare company presentations and other client materials
  • Develop financial and valuation models
  • Interface with clients on a regular basis
  • Call investors or acquirers
  • Manage due diligence for the firm's clients
  • Manage transactions (M&A, valuations, private placements) and support senior deal team
  • Supervise Analysts and Associates
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree from a top-tier university
  • Six+ years working in investment banking
  • SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 required
  • Record of academic excellence with proven leadership ability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology and finance
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong client focus and relationship management skills
  • Very strong financial modeling/valuation skills are essential
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resourcefulness, energy, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
