About the RoleThis position is responsible for cultivating and soliciting major gifts ($25K+) from individuals to support the Here for Good capital campaign and assigned priority projects, centers, and programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with Foundation staff to develop and optimize strategies to obtain major gifts and provide stewardship to all major donors.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals to support the Here for Good capital campaign and assigned priority projects, centers, and programs.
- Collaborate with Foundation staff to develop and optimize strategies to obtain major gifts.
- Provide stewardship to all major donors.
- Represent Scripps Health and present the institutional case and funding priority specifics to civic groups and other public and private organizations.
- Partner with physicians to develop impactful donor strategies geared to grateful patients.
- Oversee the planning and execution of major fundraising events.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in major gift fundraising, knowledge of and experience in all aspects of philanthropic fund development, and strong interpersonal skills. Experience mentoring and supervising staff, excellent writing and verbal skills, and computer proficiency are also essential.
