We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development to join our team at Jacob Healthcare Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing comprehensive in-service training programs for our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement in-service training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff
- Collaborate with department directors to identify training needs and develop programs to meet those needs
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and conferences to promote professional development
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Develop and maintain records of training programs, attendance, and evaluations
- Communicate with staff, department directors, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs meet the needs of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a charge nurse in a long-term care facility
- 6 months of experience as a Director of Staff Development or related role
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Nurse in the state
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
The Director of Staff Development will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of responsibility. The successful candidate must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, speak and write the English language in an understandable manner, and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
