Job Overview

As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals following prescribed menus and portion control standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils through regular cleaning and sanitization practices.
  • Brew beverages, manage beverage stations, and set up food service areas.
  • Deliver food to various locations as required, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
  • Follow security protocols and procedures as mandated by the client.
  • Receive and properly store incoming supplies to maintain inventory levels.
  • Observe scheduled breaks as assigned.
  • Assist in the collection and cleaning of dining trays and participate in dishwashing duties as needed.
  • Attend all required training and in-service sessions.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the point of sale system if applicable.
*May include cashier responsibilities when necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Uphold all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Support the mission and objectives set forth by Whitsons Culinary Group.
  • Comply with all food handling certification requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Frequently required to sit, walk, talk, and hear while performing job duties.
  • Utilize hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls and reach with arms.
  • Stand for extended periods and walk back and forth throughout the workday.
  • Lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally requiring lateral movement.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous food service experience is essential.

  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to understand and execute job tasks.
  • Capable of meeting extensive physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration processes.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times; teamwork is essential.
  • Ability to lift between 30-50 pounds as necessary.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Must successfully pass background screening.
