Job Overview

As a Culinary Service Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food service within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that contribute to a positive dining experience for our clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals according to established menus while adhering to portion control guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including equipment, and perform dishwashing duties as required.
  • Manage beverage preparation, including brewing coffee and setting up food service areas.
  • Deliver food items to designated locations as needed, ensuring timely service.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations pertaining to food handling and service.
  • Adhere to security protocols and guidelines specific to the location.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies efficiently.
  • Observe scheduled breaks as assigned.
  • Assist in the collection and cleaning of trays and dishes.
  • Participate in mandatory training and in-service programs.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the point of sale system when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Support the mission and objectives set forth by Whitsons Culinary Group.
  • Maintain certification in food handling as mandated.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to:
  • Engage in activities such as sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
  • Utilize hands and fingers for handling objects and tools.
  • Stand for extended periods and move throughout the work area.
  • Lift and/or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds, with occasional twisting movements.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior food service experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication and task execution.
  • Ability to meet extensive physical demands, including lifting and bending.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and a collaborative spirit.
  • Capable of lifting between 30-50 pounds as necessary.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Successful completion of background screening is required.
