Job Overview
As a vital member of our culinary team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and portion guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspaces, including dishwashing and sanitation tasks.
- Brew beverages, manage beverage stations, and set up food service areas.
- Deliver food to various locations as needed, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food handling.
- Follow security protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Receive and store incoming food supplies appropriately.
- Observe assigned break schedules.
- Collect and clean trays and assist in dishwashing duties as required.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and in-service programs.
- Handle cash transactions if required for the role.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold all company policies and procedures consistently.
- Support the mission and objectives set forth by Whitsons Culinary Group.
- Comply with food handling certification standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, and listening.
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate objects and tools, with the ability to reach with arms.
- Standing for extended periods and walking back and forth throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, with occasional twisting movements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous food service experience is essential.
- Proficiency in English to understand and execute job tasks.
- Significant physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to varying temperatures due to kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor; teamwork is essential.
- Ability to lift between 30-50 pounds.
- Basic reading and writing skills in English.
- Must successfully pass background screening.
