We are currently expanding our operations in Europe with our Field Service initiative. We are seeking our inaugural European-based Service Technicians to become part of our team. Position Overview: As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all IPG/Better Packages products within designated locations, ensuring the continuity of customer operations. You will take ownership of all customer issues and/or incidents until they are resolved to the customer's satisfaction and/or in accordance with established Service Agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of IPG products, features, functionalities, capabilities, and distribution channels, effectively communicating the IPG value proposition to our customers.
  • Conduct on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, service tasks, and product demonstrations as needed. Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance personnel.
  • Establish a regular Preventive Maintenance program for existing end-user accounts.
  • Assist in testing and evaluating new products and custom packaging equipment. Document and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.
  • Adhere to established communication protocols - issue RMAs, prepare and submit work orders, expense reports, trip reports, etc.
  • Perform software upgrades to WAT units as required.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of electronic and electromechanical principles.
  • Proficient IT skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven history of maintaining accurate records.

Additional Information:

This position offers flexibility regarding the location of the successful candidate, though it will necessitate regular travel.
