Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Special Events Coordinator to join our team at the City of Hermosa Beach Isai. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing special events and filming permits on City property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with various non-profit and commercial organizations to process special event permits and still photo and filming permits.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports, including permits, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with City departments to ensure compliance with City policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings and events as needed to represent the City and provide support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the City's Special Events Permit Program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Public or Business Administration, Event Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time experience in event or hospitality management.
  • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License with a safe driving record.
Working Environment

This role will be performed in a standard office environment and at indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. The incumbent may be exposed to inclement weather conditions and will be required to travel to different locations.
