Position Overview: The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for facilitating vehicle sales while adhering to standards of profitability, volume, and customer satisfaction. Upholding a professional demeanor is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer vehicle needs through effective inquiry and attentive listening.
  • Demonstrate vehicles, including conducting test drives.
  • Introduce new clients to Service departments and personnel as needed.
  • Deliver vehicles to clients, ensuring they understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and maintenance schedule to foster customer loyalty.
  • Implement a follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to clients.
  • Discuss monthly objectives, weekly tasks, and daily activities with the Sales Manager.
  • Be knowledgeable about automotive industry terminology, keep up with technological advancements in products, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Report any damage or issues with the vehicle lot to the Sales Manager promptly.
  • Understand federal, state, and local regulations that govern retail auto sales.
  • Complete all necessary training as directed by the supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
