Position Overview

General Overview:

As an Admissions Outreach Representative at Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training, your primary role will be to connect with potential students through various communication channels to understand their career goals and provide insights into our culinary and bartending training programs. You will be instrumental in facilitating new student enrollment by guiding candidates through our assessment and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compelling presentations to effectively communicate the mission and values of Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training.
  • Establish trust and rapport with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and a comprehensive understanding of the culinary and bartending industries.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and computer proficiency with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in education or workforce development is advantageous.
  • Proactively engage with prospective students via calls, emails, and texts to provide detailed information about our programs.
  • Conduct informative tours and presentations, both in-person and virtually, to highlight our program offerings.
  • Assist potential students in comprehending registration prerequisites, program advantages, and career trajectories.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge base about all programs and support services offered.
  • Ensure precise record-keeping and data entry to adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Provide updates and progress reports to community partners regarding student engagement.
  • Perform any additional duties related to student recruitment and success as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education, workforce development, or sales is necessary (experience in the culinary or bartending field is a plus). Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Experience and Education Substitutions:

  • No substitutions permitted.

Licensing and Certification:

  • A High School Diploma is required; an Undergraduate Degree is preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

This position may require weekend and/or evening work and involves physical demands such as sitting, walking, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, visual and auditory abilities, communication skills, and occasional travel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of effective communication principles, exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, solid organizational capabilities, and the ability to convey information clearly to various audiences.

Moreover, the candidate must be capable of multitasking, maintaining professionalism, remaining composed under pressure, and exercising sound judgment.
