POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Patient Admissions Specialist, you will serve as the initial contact for prospective patients, their families, and the community. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere and facilitating a smooth admissions experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reach out to discharge planners, families, or designated representatives to arrange facility tours.
  • Conduct tours effectively to transform inquiries into admissions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of admissions documentation, while treating residents and their families with dignity.
  • Relay pertinent information about incoming residents to appropriate departments.
  • Inform essential staff about their responsibilities in the admissions process.
  • Participate in outreach activities to enhance patient census from existing referral channels.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 1 year of experience in admissions within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in long-term care settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Willingness to travel locally as necessary.
