As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the President and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
    • Manage the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Oversee the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial close.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the President and other stakeholders, including financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc analyses.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, including US GAAP and tax laws.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including accounting errors, financial misstatements, and other potential risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in financial management, preferably in a start-up environment or professional services industry.
  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Excellent Excel skills required.
  • Experience working with accounting systems, preferably Acumatica.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
