Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of neurodiagnostic studies, including conventional nerve conduction studies, repetitive nerve stimulation, cranial nerve stimulation, and autonomic nerve testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform neurodiagnostic studies, including electromyography, and prepare patients for examination
  • Assist physicians in specialized neurodiagnostic studies in the laboratory and at the bedside
  • Maintain accurate medical records and billing documentation
  • Schedule patients for electrodiagnostic testing in the Electronic Medical Records system
  • Perform clerical duties, including stocking supplies and ordering equipment
Requirements
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and ability to establish effective working relationships
  • Must be eligible to take the EEG Exam for ABRET credentials
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be able to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
  • Experience with or willingness to learn interoperative nerve monitoring (IONM)
  • Experience performing all phases of neurodiagnostic testing
