Job Summary:
A Neurodiagnostic Technologist at Kaiser Permanente performs a range of complex diagnostic imaging and monitoring procedures, including EEGs, Nerve Conduction studies, and intra-operative EEG monitoring. They work under minimal supervision to provide high-quality patient care and may also provide training to junior staff and medical personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, as well as applicable state, federal, and local laws.
  • Perform all duties of an EEG Technologist, including recording and analyzing EEG data for neonates, children, and adults.
  • Conduct Nerve Conduction studies under the supervision of a Neurologist.
  • Record and analyze video, ambulatory, and telemetry EEG data.
  • Measure amplitude and latency of waveforms and determine technical quality of recordings.
  • May perform transcranial Doppler studies.
  • Participate in technical meetings and educational activities, and serve as an in-service training instructor.
  • Responsible for maintaining digital EEG files and coordinating file transfers between Member Service Areas and Medical Office Buildings.
  • Perform troubleshooting on digital EEG equipment as needed.

Pay Grade: 25

Experience

· Minimum educational and professional qualifications must include at least one (1) year of experience at the EEG Technologist level.

· Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
