Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Pharmacist to join our team at UCI Health. As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, and providing therapeutic intervention as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, and therapeutic intervention as needed.
  • Provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients.
  • Maintain patient profiles and attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies.
  • Monitor drug therapy and compound drugs as needed.
  • Direct technicians and precept pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire.
  • Current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing.
