Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As a Per Diem Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of neurodiagnostic studies, including conventional nerve conduction studies, repetitive nerve stimulation, cranial nerve stimulation, and autonomic nerve testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform neurodiagnostic studies, including electromyography and nerve conduction studies
  • Assist physicians in specialized neurodiagnostic studies in the laboratory and at the bedside of patients
  • Take medical histories as they relate to neurological diagnosis
  • Maintain the rooms, calibrate equipment, stock supplies, and order supplies
  • Perform clerical duties in relation to patient records and billing documentation
Requirements
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Must be eligible to take the EEG Exam for ABRET credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Current BLS certification required by time of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
  • Experience with or willingness to learn interoperative nerve monitoring (IONM)
  • Experience performing all phases of neurodiagnostic testing
