Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing safe and effective dialysis treatment for patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Prepare, test, and operate dialysis machines for patient care.
  • Document essential pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
  • Assess vascular access prior to treatment and perform necessary procedures.
  • Monitor patients' responses to dialysis therapy and report any significant changes to the supervisor.
  • Accurately enter treatment data into the designated clinical application.
  • Collect and prepare lab samples in accordance with laboratory standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and treatment areas.
  • Support healthcare team members in educating patients about their care.
  • Efficiently manage supplies and equipment to minimize waste.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Dependable, compassionate, and supportive team player.
  • Previous experience in patient care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Fresenius Medical Care training program and CPR certification.
