This position begins at $22 per hour, with opportunities for salary increases based on expanded responsibilities and experience.

The role of the client support specialist includes:

  • Equipping clients with essential tools, resources, and support to collaboratively pursue self-sufficiency and stability
  • Encouraging clients to analyze challenges and discover solutions, recognizing their strengths, and fostering personal growth
  • Empowering clients to leverage HopeSource and community resources to achieve stability and secure permanent housing

  • Educate landlords about the support provided by HopeSource and the advantages of collaborating with our clients
  • Witness firsthand the successes achieved by clients as a result of your dedication and hard work
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client mentoring, coaching, and oversight of direct services within Rapid Rehousing programs, with caseloads determined by the Program Manager
  • Facilitate client mentoring and coaching in HopeSource Rapid Rehousing programs, collaborating with local agencies to serve shared clients
  • Coordinate with Hope U staff to enroll clients in Life Skills and Work Skills classes, ensuring educational goals are met
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to monitor progress on Family Stability Plan goals, evaluate training effectiveness, and identify additional needs
  • Recruit local housing providers for participation in the Housing Program and maintain an inventory of potential housing options
  • Work with the Housing Team to enter clients into HopeSource Housing Programs, ensuring compliance with grant requirements
  • Ensure client participation and completion of all Family Stability Program goals and planned coaching activities
  • Maintain accurate case file documentation, client profiles, and program utilization data for Rapid Rehousing Programs
  • Prepare program reports as required by funding sources and management
  • Assist in preparing program billings as needed
  • Represent the agency in public forums
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop new programs and enhance service delivery mechanisms
  • Participate in staff training and meetings, as well as other professional development opportunities
  • Conduct housing intakes and refer clients to suitable housing programs
  • May perform data entry for housing programs
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary
  • Understand grant and contract requirements thoroughly
  • Ensure accurate coding for purchase orders and activity reporting
  • Be familiar with program budgets and spending limits
  • Meet documentation requirements for program compliance and financial accuracy
  • Engage in local outreach to address the needs of homeless clients
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in providing direct client services
  • Experience working with individuals and/or families in crisis situations
  • Valid Washington Driver's License with a good driving record and proof of automobile insurance, or reliable transportation access
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to family services, case management, or client service delivery, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to network with other organizations and service groups
  • Proven capability to prepare reports and manage extensive written communications
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
