KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are essential to the role:
- Handle all incoming telephone inquiries
- Direct calls to the correct department as necessary
- Organize appointments for all healthcare providers
- Verify appointments for all healthcare providers when needed
- Serve as the primary telephone operator on a daily basis
- Achieve proficiency in all services offered by the healthcare providers
- Offer callers general information regarding the healthcare providers and the services provided
- Be available for additional hours and weekend shifts as required
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
- Exhibits genuine care for patients
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Treats patients and colleagues with dignity and respect
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
- Preferred experience of two years in a medical office setting, though not mandatory
