Position Title: Quality Assurance Engineer II - Quality Engineering

Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Engineer II plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. This position involves providing comprehensive quality planning, control, and enhancement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, and distribution operations to ensure that our products consistently meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing data and defining the methods and processes necessary for designing and continuously enhancing manufacturing or material processes to deliver products within established cost and quality parameters.
  • Contribute to the design of engineering solutions, including feasibility testing approaches, and oversee their implementation to support the development and validation of these solutions.
  • Support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and evaluate their effectiveness under the guidance of senior colleagues.
  • Conduct inspections to assess the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations, providing recommendations for necessary remedial actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact while adhering to established contract management protocols.
  • Identify and address deficiencies in existing processes and systems using established change management strategies.
  • Facilitate knowledge management by offering support and guidance to colleagues.
  • Engage in various product development and engineering activities, utilizing established systems to analyze customer needs and deliver appropriate products.
  • Work within a structured project management framework to achieve defined objectives.
  • Enhance personal capabilities through participation in development planning activities, training, and coaching, while maintaining awareness of relevant technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Strong Negotiation and Risk Management skills
  • Experience in Contract Management and Budgeting

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Work Schedule:

  • Willingness to work both first and third shifts is essential.

Shift Details:

  • Third Shift: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM
  • First Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Additional Requirements:

  • Metatarsal boots are required from the first day of employment.
  • Open to recent graduates with relevant experience.
  • A degree in Engineering or a Technical field is preferred, but highly experienced candidates without a degree may also be considered.

As a Quality Engineer in the Order Fulfillment Process, you will support manufacturing operations within an assembly department. Your responsibilities will include managing daily quality assessments across multiple product lines, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions for defects promptly. You will also:

  • Lead discussions on quality planning and execution, including risk analysis and strategic quality improvements.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives on the shop floor, focusing on enhancing Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery, Ergonomics, and Cost reduction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and product design to ensure quality is integrated into our processes and products.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in areas such as hydraulics, powertrain, electrical systems, welding, assembly, or product validation.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret production trends and defect data.
  • Experience working with external suppliers or customers to resolve quality issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with design processes and tooling.
  • Knowledge of drawing interpretation and product modeling.
  • Experience with engineering tools and systems such as SAP, CREO, AutoCAD, and MES.
  • Certification from ASQ as a Quality Engineer, Auditor, or Six Sigma Certified professional.
