Job Overview

The chosen candidate will collaborate with a skilled engineering staff utilizing advanced engineering tools and methodologies. This role will be performed onsite at a leading engineering and manufacturing facility.

Mechanical Engineering Role

The Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with the conceptualization and development of mechanical components and systems, which may encompass various plastic processes, castings or forgings, stampings, laser-cut parts, and the welding or bonding of components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with suppliers and clients regarding product selection and integration.
  • Utilize Creo 7.0 and Windchill to facilitate 3-D modeling of components, sheet metal, and potentially hydraulic or electrical routings.
  • Generate and maintain 2D drawings and specification documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, product verification and validation, and suppliers to create efficient and cost-effective designs.
  • Compile and provide necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of relevant design analysis data) to document the design solution needed for prototype construction and design adoption, possibly involving other functional engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or personal projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capacity to excel in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with 3-D modeling software; familiarity with Creo 7.0 is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Windchill or PDMLink.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T.
  • Design experience or exposure to off-road mobile equipment.
  • Aptitude for addressing quality issues, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
  • Desire to work in an engineering environment focused on robust and cost-effective designs.

Compensation Range: $70,000-$100,000 – Commensurate with experience.
