About the Job

At DESC, we understand the importance of providing comprehensive services to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders. Our Mobile Response Team (MRT) responds to individuals living in Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) and Health through Housing (HtH) sites who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

We are seeking a highly motivated Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our MRT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and training to staff, conducting performance evaluations, and establishing team norms.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in social work, psychology or other relevant behavioral science, and two or more years' experience in community-based behavioral health services. They will be eligible for a Licensed AAC credential and have experience working with adults experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and training to staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish team norms
  • Work in close collaboration with the Sr. Manager of Mobile Response and Medical Director
  • Develop and oversee a strong, well-trained, and highly motivated outreach team

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology or other relevant behavioral science
  • Two or more years' experience in community-based behavioral health services
  • Eligible for a Licensed AAC credential
  • Experience working with adults experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders
