Role OverviewCrisis Connections is dedicated to providing a range of telephone-based support services to individuals in crisis in King County and WA State. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our volunteer phone workers, assisting with emergency and non-emergency calls, and participating in program meetings and training sessions.

Key ResponsibilitiesThis role requires a high level of skill and expertise in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques. The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Provide effective support to volunteer phone workers
  • Assist with emergent and non-emergent calls
  • Participate in program meetings and training sessions

Estimated Salary: $30.06/hour ($62,453/year)We offer competitive pay rates, ranging from $27.06 to $31.06 per hour, depending on experience. In addition, we provide excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, annual wage increases, and generous paid time off.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, a minimum of one year of experience as a volunteer on the Crisis Line, and knowledge of the public mental health system. You must also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a call center environment.
