Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement program directions within the parameters set by the Department's administration while meeting state/federal requirements and legislative intent.
  • Provide consultation on the development of training materials, review and revise training materials, and provide training as appropriate.
  • Lead the development and allocation of moneys to grantees based on legislatively approved budget.
  • Responsible for leading and participating in work groups or task forces with ODHS programs, youth, other agencies, community partners, and Rural Community providers.
  • Provide functional direction and overall monitoring of primary computer systems to ensure that these systems provide the maximum possible support for program operations and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills.
  • Two years of experience coordinating or administering a program, or any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Listening – demonstrated history of active listening to achieve harmonious results in a work environment.
  • Clear Communication – a history of clear communication processes that achieved optimal results.
  • Experience Training – work history of implementing training modules.
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication.
  • Rural Experience/Connections Prioritized – a specific experience in this area. Must be on Cover Letter.

Working Conditions:

This position is in Salem and provides central office support and coordination for contracted services statewide. This position works in a professional environment and may require non-traditional work hours, travel, and overnight stays.
