Job Opportunity:

The State of Oregon is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Operations and Policy Analyst 2, Treatment Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in supporting statewide addictions treatment programs across multiple Department of Corrections facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and coordinating substance use disorder treatment and problem gambling treatment services delivered to adults in custody. This includes:

  • Coordinating with Contract Service Providers to ensure compliance with contract provisions and agency initiatives
  • Monitoring contract service provider compliance with contract provisions, agency strategic goals, and agency initiatives
  • Preparing summaries or presentations on best practice innovations and research from the addictions treatment field
  • Assisting administration with improving and expanding treatment services for adults in custody
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills. Additionally, the candidate must have two years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience, or any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience.

The ideal candidate will also possess a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor 1 (CADC-I) credential with the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Desired attributes include an understanding of the chronic disease approach to substance use disorder treatment, experience with professional writing and development of professional reports, and experience collecting and/or interpreting data for evaluation of processes, systems, or programs.
