Our BackgroundFounded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions boasts over 30 years of experience in crisis intervention. We operate two of the largest and most extensively studied crisis response centers in the nation and are actively expanding our services to additional states. Since our inception, we have successfully provided care and treatment to hundreds of thousands of individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the registration process for individuals seeking services, ensuring verification of eligibility and enrollment with relevant health plans.
- Collect necessary authorizations and documentation while scheduling appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to address any concerns regarding patients' psychiatric or medical presentations.
- Welcome and assist visitors, maintaining security protocols and monitoring visitor access.
- Accurately manage patient care episodes within electronic health records, coordinating discharges with other facilities.
- Obtain and relay clinical records and information to healthcare professionals.
- Support the discharge and transfer processes by liaising with various providers.
- Assist with emergency custody orders and temporary detention orders as required.
- Serve as a communication link among departments, ensuring smooth operations and coordination of care.
- Manage the ordering of patient meals and necessary supplies for daily activities.
- Foster a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, acting as a resource for families and visitors.
- Handle incoming calls, providing information and taking messages as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- At least 3 years of clerical experience.
- Current Notary certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
- Capability to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in behavioral health settings.
